“I have something to show you.”
“Will I like it?”
“I hope so. I like it.”
“Okay, then.”
“I want to tell you about it first. Just a little. Not a long explanation.”
“Okay.”
“I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced this, but sometimes you find something that just makes you feel better. Feel…whole, you know?”
“I think I know. A little.”
“My old man, for instance. He says he only feels like himself when he’s on the golf course. For my grandma, it’s when she’s baking. Something about kneading dough gives her solace.”
“I understand.”
“Promise not to laugh.”
Lovely
What’s my line?
Oh no. I won’t be able to sleep tonight.
Mmmmmm. Interesting take.
I love the wonderful dialogue, and the topic is intriguing, but… I’m not sure what the secret actually is. I really want to know. Is it the shoes? If so, why does the character expects laughter? I might be just feeling a tad slow today. 🙁
You got to be honest with yourself in the end I guess. Nice one.
Nice buildup
Great dialogue in this. I enjoyed this story.
Mmmm … I have so many questions. Hope he likes what he eventually will hear.
